LGC Awards for Excellence in Community Stewardship
Recognition Statement
At Lewis Group Consulting (LGC), we are privileged to collaborate with exceptional people and organizations whose work inspires lasting change. Through the Award for Excellence in Community Stewardship, we honor those who exemplify what it means to build a better community and a better world. LGC is based in Northern Virginia. However, these awards transcend boundaries and are also national and international.
To be considered for this recognition, nominees must demonstrate the following:

Commitment to Service: They give back to their communities consistently and meaningfully — whether through their business practices, personal actions, or direct service to others.

Impactful Contribution: Their efforts may take many forms, including providing access to healthy food, advancing healing and wellness, encouraging and building peaceful relations, promoting healthy lifestyles, promoting and improving environmental sustainability, or supporting charitable causes. Particular recognition is given to those who uplift the most vulnerable, such as survivors of domestic violence, cancer patients, and others in critical need.

Respect and Compassion: They treat all individuals with dignity, respect, and without judgment, embodying the highest standards of integrity and humanity.
This recognition celebrates not only what they accomplish, but also how they accomplish it — with compassion, inclusivity, and an unwavering dedication to the greater good.
2025 Award Winners
Dr. Samuel Lee Hancock is a distinguished leader in sustainable development, currently serving as the President and Executive Director of the EmeraldPlanet International Foundation. With a rich background in management, international economics, and public policy, he has dedicated his career to promoting environmental, economic, and social sustainability on a global scale. He saved thousands of lives in Africa by delivering life saving insect repellent blankets preventing malaria.
Gift Hughes who has continuously and selflessly promoted charitable causes and helped those around her. She is a a multiple award winning top producing realtor at Keller Williams Reston, and a lifetime top producing realtor at Northern Virginia Association of Realtors; Her famous wonderful quote, "Believe in yourself and you can accomplish your goals. Success doesn't happen overnight, and life isn't always perfect, which is why I Live life by Design not by Default."
Marcela is the recipient of the Lewis Group Consulting (LGC) award for excellence for being selfless and for truly giving of herself for the betterment of others. She is a successful, in demand care giver and specializes in healing touch therapy. Marcela emphasizes preventative care including healthy food prep and exercise.
